dear david, dear fans,

i have not heard of david or his music before, however i got mail from two lawyers from cologne. they imply that i have shared david´s music via peer-to-peer (what ever that means).

they force me to sign something as an omission, and in addition i have to pay 400 euro.

as one might assume, these lawyers want to earn money. in my view, this might not be the best choice someone should do. i am not angry to these people, though i think that a couple of inculpable victims of those lawyers pay that money, because they are aware of the trouble that any action from lawyers could raise. i do not know how this story is going to end for me. this case is not unique, there are a lot of people affected, as judged by myself by using google. i think it is ok, if someone is really doing crime and earns money in ways he should not do, that lawyers force those criminals to stop their actions. however, this does not fit to all those victims, and may be i am one of them. i can only state that i am willing to pay for everything i enjoy.

as music is something that we all should enjoy, this is may be the dark side. and may be artists like david are in the position to stop this actions, or at least to distance oneself.

it is difficult for me to explain exactly, what i feel.

all the best,
michael hoffmann

Dear Michael,

I'm David's business partner.
We don't have any lawyer in Germany.

So i'm very surprised.
PLease contact urgently by PM and give your email and phone number.
I need to see what they asked to you.

Best
