hi all

I'm new at this forum!
I'm a producer from Vienna. I've made a lot of electronic tracks but now I wan't to change my style more into house. I'm using the program Ableton Live! but I don't think that it's ideal for house!

So can anybody recommend me a good software and/or good plug-ins.
Or is there even somebody who knows what program david is using???

Thanks a lot

Phil

Its difficult to say which software will be best for you, because it depends on a couple of things

1) Are you just working with samples that you get from sample CD's? If so, then there are a number of bottom of the range software packages which you can use, most likely fruity loop type software

2) Are you planning on using your own samples and using external hardware (like a sound module etc) and VST's?

If so, then you will need a software package which you can use as a sequencer for audio files and midi

I use Cubase VST, Wavelab, Various VST instruments and effects plug ins and I use hardware "Novation Drumstation" "Novation Bass Stattion" and a "Yamaha QS300 keyboard"

I try not to use samples (unless they are my own) and so most of my tracks are made from scratch,

A website to look at is http://www.computermusic.co.uk

Excellent for starting out and has some great article on what you might need to help you.

Hope this helds and if you have any further questions, let me know.
